Finally done!!!! Ahhhh… For the last week, my life has been all control + F (where is my mistake??????), <div></div> (AAAHHHH!! program is giving me a huge red underline!!!), and OMG it actually works!!!
I’ve finally moved to my own domain (with my own coding skills…) and made a fully my own website!!! Eeek!!!
After realizing I love sprinkling things with salt, I realized that it had to be the name. Btw, if you subscribed, you are going to have to resubscribe..

Ok, now let’s talk food! These waffles are the BEST!!! I have never said a such thing about yeast waffles.
I love the little chunks of caramelized sugar and the slight yeasty flavor it has. Trust me, this is not one of your getthisoutofmymouthithinkimgoingtochokefromthesourness recipes. It’s not one of those recipes that you’re going to be wondering how in the world the author thought it tasted great. YOU are going to wish you made it sooner. I certainly did!!!

The Most Beautiful & Delicious Yeast Waffles + Pearl Sugar!!
for the pearl sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp water
for the waffles
- 1/4 cup warm milk
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 8 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- homemade pearl sugar or 1/2 cup of the traditional stuff
Mix the ingredients for the pearl sugar together and spread in thin layer in a pan and let dry overnight. When dry, stir with a spoon and break up the big chunks.
For the waffles, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and water together in a large bowl. Sprinkle on the yeast and wait until it starts foaming, about 5 minutes. Add in the rest of the ingredients except for the pearl sugar. It should form a sticky dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight.
The next morning, mix in the pearl sugar to the dough. Separate into 5 pieces and pat each into a flat disk. Let rise between 30-90 minutes. The longer you wait, the fluffier they'll be.
Heat the waffle iron and place in a piece of dough. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Serve with honey!
